Job Description

ORDER TO CASH (O2C)

Cash Application Processor is responsible for the accurate and timely recording of incoming payments to customer accounts. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and healthy cash flow.

Responsibilities for this role

Payment Processing and Posting
Accurately process and post incoming payments (including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit cards) to the correct customer accounts and invoices.
Obtain and utilize customer remittance information for proper payment application.
Reconciliation and Issue Resolution
Perform daily or periodic reconciliation of cash applications and bank ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Research and resolve issues such as unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, and unauthorized deductions.
Work with internal teams (like Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Collections) and external customers to resolve payment issues and inquiries.
Record Keeping and Reporting
Maintain organized and accurate records of transactions and customer communications.
Assist with month-end closing processes and perform account reconciliations.
Generate reports on cash application metrics and processing statistics.Role & responsibilities
