Job Description

As a Survey Expert for the offshore wind portfolio, your role will involve providing survey expertise throughout the project life cycle. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading project execution for individual survey work scopes, covering areas such as HSE, resourcing, permitting, budget, and data management. - Ensuring geo-data integrity assurance. - Acting as a Survey Subject Matter Expert for related disciplines like T&I, Construction, Operations & Maintenance. - Managing (off- and on-shore) geophysical, geotechnical, and construction surveys from tendering to execution, focusing on safe, technical, and commercial aspects. - Ensuring accuracy and adequacy of deliverables. - Collaborating with an integrated geoscience team to develop fit-for-purpose integrated ground models for wind farm engineering. - Coordinating with safety, consent, and procurement teams to ensure successful execution of works. - Collaborating with environment & consent specialists, foundation and transmission engineering, and construction disciplines to deliver site investigations and project consent and infrastructure. - Maintaining relationships with third party suppliers, contractors, and partners for long-term performance management and continuous improvement. - Contributing actively to technology development and sharing knowledge within the survey, geotechnical, and geophysical communities of practice. In terms of work experience, you should have: - Excellent knowledge of industry codes and standards. - Expertise in project management of survey operations, including procurement, HSSE, technical commercial, and schedule management. - Experience in off- and on-shore geotechnical, geophysical, and environmental survey execution, with demonstrable offshore experience. - Skills in identifying, assessing, and managing survey acquisition risks. - Knowledge of spatial integrity of data related to seismic, site and route survey, seabed and land assets, and data management. - Experience in geotechnical and geophysical data acquisition, QC, processing, interpretation, and reporting. - Understanding of Offshore Wind ground engineering activities for design, analysis, and installation of offshore wind infrastructure. - Familiarity with the survey contractor market, technology developments, and the ability to apply new technologies for improved survey delivery. Your required professional competencies and soft skills include: - Excellent proficiency in English (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills. - Effective time management skills for working with distributed teams and time-zones. - Expertise in working in multi-disciplinary teams and major projects with minimal technical supervision. - Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills. - Comfortable reporting to senior management. For qualifications, you should have a degree in Survey & Mapping or Geoscience, along with about 10 years or more of relevant industry experience and appropriate professional accreditation.,
