Surface Coating Manager

As a Surface Coating Manager at Machinery Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the application of surface coatings to machinery components in Gujarat. Your responsibilities will include managing the coating team, conducting quality assurance tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring chemical compositions meet required specifications. Collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth production processes and adherence to safety protocols will also be a key part of your role. Your primary focus will be on Surface Coating Operations Management. This involves overseeing all processes related to surface coating, developing and implementing procedures for efficiency and product quality, managing the selection and application of coatings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, monitoring equipment performance, and coordinating with production teams. Quality Control will be another significant aspect of your role. You will establish and maintain strict quality control standards, conduct routine inspections, develop testing procedures, and maintain accurate records to ensure consistent quality and performance of coated components. Additionally, you will handle the necessary laboratory setup for testing components in line with industry standards. Process Improvement & Innovation will be an ongoing effort as you evaluate and enhance surface coating processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality. Researching and recommending new materials, equipment, and technologies will be essential to align with environmental and industry standards. Team Leadership & Development will require you to supervise and lead a team of surface coating technicians and operators. Providing guidance, training on new techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation, conducting performance reviews, and developing staff capabilities will be part of your responsibilities. You will also ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance by enforcing regulations, maintaining documentation, promoting a safe working environment, overseeing waste disposal, recycling, and emissions control measures. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or a related field, along with 6-10+ years of experience in surface coating or finishing processes in a manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of surface coating materials, quality control techniques, team management, environmental and safety regulations, organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in MS Office and manufacturing ERP systems are required.
