Job Description

As a Support Engineer at BroadStream Solutions in Mumbai, India, reporting to the VP of Sales and Director of Engineering, your primary role involves configuring all current company products, providing first-line support to Customers, Systems Integrators, and Distributors, maintaining high-quality support standards, and ensuring continuous service to customers across the South Asia & Middle East region. Your responsibilities include: - Providing e-mail and telephone support - Utilizing remote access tools for customer systems - Preparing Proof of Concept systems and resolving technical issues - Updating configuration and support records accurately - Installing, configuring, and training customers on company products - Completing on-site report documents promptly - Assisting with product testing and system health checks - Supporting exhibitions and sales engineering solutions - Identifying sales opportunities and collaborating with the sales team - Creating detailed plans and reports for projects - Undertaking other duties as requested by senior management Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience - Minimum 8-10 years of experience in playout automation domain - Fluency in English (verbal and written), knowledge of Hindi, and additional languages as an asset Key Result Areas: - Proactively providing technical support for playout automation, graphic & subtitling - Resolving on-air impacting incidents affecting support delivery - Collaborating with colleagues to address technical issues - Maintaining technical documentation and performing proactive maintenance tasks Competencies: - Strong understanding of broadcasting principles and transmission environments - Proficiency in broadcast automation systems and DVB standards - High IT literacy and proficiency in MS Office suite - Ability to organize tasks, handle multiple priorities, and work in a demanding environment - Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift schedule and travel at short notice Knowledge & Skills: - Excellent communication skills in English - Expertise in playout automation, graphics, file-based workflow management, and media asset management - Strong customer-facing skills and attention to detail - Positive attitude, team player, and ability to work under pressure Working Conditions & Job Characteristics: - Work may be conducted in the office environment, with tasks determined by the Job Description and Senior Line Manager decisions - Tasks may be performed independently or collaboratively with others, requiring flexibility and adaptation to job characteristics - Work may involve office hours and non-office hours as needed To apply for this position, please submit your resume and a cover letter to shelinder.sachdeva@broadstream.com with "Support Engineer - Mumbai, India Application" in the subject line.,
