Job Summary

The Junior Supply Chain Management Specialist will be an integral part of our supply chain team, responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of all supply chain operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the supply chain, from procurement and logistics to inventory management and demand planning. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundational knowledge of supply chain principles and a desire to learn and grow within the organization.

Role & Responsibilities

• Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing stock to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate inventory counts and efficient stock movement.
• Assist in preparing and analysing inventory reports.

• Logistics and Distribution:

• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Assist in tracking shipments and updating relevant stakeholders on their status.
• Help resolve any issues related to shipping and delivery.

• Procurement Support:

• Assist the procurement team in preparing purchase orders and maintaining supplier records.
• Conduct basic market research to identify potential new suppliers.
• Support the negotiation process for new contracts and agreements.

• Demand and Data Analysis:

• Assist in collecting and analyzing data to forecast future demand and optimize supply chain processes.
• Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and cost per unit.
• Utilize supply chain software and tools to manage and analyze data.

• Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Communicate effectively with external partners and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
