Supply Chain Assistant

Core Responsibilities:

Facilitate the movement of products from suppliers to customers or retail outlets, ensuring correct and timely deliveries.

Maintain accurate inventory records, as well as prepare and reconcile all relevant supply chain documentation such as invoices and shipping forms.

Coordinate shipping and logistics, including arranging transportation, tracking shipments, and managing warehouse operations.

Monitor stock levels and assist with restocking or replenishment as required.

Liaise with suppliers, customers, and other internal teams to resolve logistics or product-related issues.

Ensure compliance with internal procedures and supply chain standards or regulations.

Analyze data to create reports, identify trends, or help optimize the supply chain process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills are essential for efficient coordination.

Proficiency with supply chain or office software tools (e.g., MS Excel, SAP, or ERPs).

Attention to detail and the ability to manage paperwork and inventory accurately.

Basic knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and problem-solving in a supply chain context.

Typically, a bachelors degree or diploma in supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred, but entry-level positions may accept less formal qualifications.

Administrative and Support Duties:

Assist the supply chain manager with clerical and administrative duties such as scheduling, report preparation, and correspondence.

Manage supplier, customer, and internal records and databases.

Support organization of meetings, travel arrangements, and other logistics-related tasks for the supply chain team.

This role is vital to maintaining operational efficiency, preventing stockouts, and keeping supply chain workflows organized.
