Job Description

As a Supply Chain and Import Specialist at Croda, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient import of goods into India. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading import operations and compliance, such as preparing documents for customs clearance and coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers. - Ensuring accurate classification of goods using appropriate HSN codes, especially for chemical products with specific end uses. - Analyzing team performance and operational workflows to identify and implement improvement opportunities. - Leading short-term and long-term supply chain and customer service improvement projects. - Developing and revising working procedures for customer service, sales, logistics, and warehouse teams. - Liaising with supply chain teams across Croda divisions globally to drive process alignment. - Providing timely material availability updates to customer service teams. - Generating purchase orders for imported materials and services. - Coaching and advising team members to resolve supply issues. - Training and developing customer service, logistics, and warehouse teams in SAP. - Collaborating with sales managers to analyze sales and stock levels. - Leading invoice processing for a specific Croda division. - Ensuring timely resolution of customer complaints through effective coordination. Qualifications required for this role include: - Degree in Supply Chain Management or Global Trade. - Proven experience in import operations, preferably in specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or personal care ingredients. - Strong understanding of HSN codes, customs procedures, and import documentation. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements for various products. - Knowledge of SAP, demand planning software, database software, and Excel. - Strong communication, negotiation, and numeracy skills. - Ability to work under tight deadlines.
