Supply Chain and Export-Import Specialist

As a Supply Chain and Import Specialist at Croda, you will play a crucial role in leading the Imports into India, ensuring seamless customs clearance, accurate classification of goods using HSN codes, and efficient coordination with internal teams for material inward processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage import operations and prepare documents for custom clearance. - Coordinate with custom brokers and freight agencies for smooth import processes. - Collaborate with customer service and operations teams to drive continuous improvement in imports. **Qualifications Required:** - Degree in Supply Chain Management or Global Trade. - Proven experience in Import operations, preferably in speciality chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, or Personal care ingredients. - Strong understanding of HSN codes, customs procedures, and import documentation. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements for products containing animal and plant derivatives, Dangerous Goods, Haz trans, and Warehousing Legislation. - Sound knowledge of SAP, Demand Planning & Sales Forecasting Software, Database Software, and Excel. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Highly numerate with keen attention to detail. - Comfortable working under tight deadlines. In this role, you will lead Import Operations and Compliance, ensuring proper documentation, customs compliance, and coordination with freight forwarders/Customs brokers. You will also be responsible for accurate classification of imported goods, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities, and leading supply chain improvement projects. Furthermore, you will liaise with supply chain teams across Croda divisions globally, provide material availability updates to customer service teams, generate purchase orders, and coach team members to resolve supply issues effectively. Your role will also involve training and developing customer service, logistics, and warehouse teams in SAP, collaborating with sales managers on sales and stock levels, and ensuring timely resolution of customer complaints through cross-departmental coordination.
