Supplier Quality Engineer

As a Supplier Quality Engineer at JMA, you will play a vital role in developing and monitoring supplier performance to ensure the highest quality standards are met. You will serve as the primary quality contact for JMAs supply base, driving and executing the requirements outlined in JMAs Quality System and Supplier Quality Manual. Your responsibilities will include supplier selection, onboarding, delivery quality and performance management, as well as performance improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain efficiencies. Your key responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including supplier selection and certification, collaborating with various functions to uphold quality standards, managing supplier relationships, conducting audits, analyzing defect trends, leading continuous improvement projects, enacting corrective actions, performing inspection and testing, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure product quality and supply chain efficiency. Additionally, you will provide metrics and reporting on product and Supply Chain quality to manage SQA and supplier performance effectively. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelors degree in engineering, supply chain management, ASQ CQE, or possess equivalent experience combined with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, and effective communication skills are essential. Experience with SAP quality module is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. A willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international) is required. Key Skills required for this role include excellent analytical skills, experience in defect data analysis and Root Cause Analysis, familiarity with working in AS9100/ISO9001 environment or other regulated industry, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills, and strong written and oral communication skills in English.
