Supplier Quality Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Ensure suppliers adhere to the automotive industry's quality standards (IATF16949, ISO 9001).

2. Work with suppliers to implement and maintain robust quality systems.

3. Facilitate problem-solving activities such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 8D reports, and corrective/preventive actions.

4. Collaborate with suppliers to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality and consistency.

5. Support suppliers in the introduction of new products and ensure a smooth ramp-up.

6. Promote lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices at supplier facilities.

7. Lead and support APQP activities with suppliers for new product launches.

8. Ensure timely completion of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) requirements.

9. Validate supplier processes and capability for new parts.

10. Conduct training programs for suppliers on quality standards, process improvement, and best practices.

11. Drive supplier capability building through coaching, workshops, and continuous improvement initiatives.

12. Maintain accurate records of supplier evaluations, registration, performance metrics and audit reports .

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate having good knowledge in Supplier / Vendor Quality in Manufacturing industry are preferred.
