Supervisor (Plumbing)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily plumbing installation activities including water supply, drainage, vent lines, medical gas (if applicable), pumps, sumps, and sanitary fixtures.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Verify installation quality and ensure correct alignment, slopes, pipe supports, and jointing methods (PVC/CPVC/HDPE/GI/DI/etc.).
• Oversee installation of plumbing equipment such as pumps, water tanks, heaters, filtration units, etc.
• Allocate tasks to plumbers, helpers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor productivity and ensure manpower is utilized effectively.
• Provide technical guidance and on-site training when needed.
• Interact with civil, electrical, HVAC, and fire protection teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth workflow.
• Attend site coordination meetings and report daily progress/issues to engineers.
• Ensure required materials, fittings, and tools are available at the site.
• Raise material requests based on work requirements.
• Maintain proper storage and handling of pipes, valves, fixtures, and consumables.
• Ensure installation conforms to IS codes, project specifications, and hospital standards.
• Conduct checks for leakages, pressure testing, and system validations.
• Assist engineers in pressure tests, flushing, chlorination, and commissioning procedures.
• Resolve snags raised during inspections and testing.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ITI/Diploma in Plumbing/Mechanical Engineering .
• 2-4 years of experience as a Plumbing Supervisor in MEP contracting; hospital project experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems: water supply, drainage, venting, pumps, sanitary fixtures, water treatment, pump rooms, etc.
• Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings (IFC/shop/as-built).
• Familiar with safety protocols and QA/QC procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bhubaneswar, Orissa: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
