Job Profile: Supervisor – Solar Installation (ITI Electrical)

The Solar Installation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power systems. The role involves supervising technicians, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating with project engineers/management for timely completion of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide technicians/electricians during solar PV installation and wiring.
• Ensure proper installation of solar modules, inverters, cables, earthing, and other electrical components.
• Verify electrical connections and test systems for functionality and safety.
• Coordinate daily work schedules, allocate manpower, and monitor progress at site.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Conduct site inspections and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain project documentation, installation reports, and material usage records.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and vendors.
• Train and support junior technicians on installation procedures and safety practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, load calculations, and solar PV systems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and layouts.
• Hands-on experience with electrical tools, meters, and solar equipment.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Awareness of safety regulations and ability to enforce them at site.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• 2–5 years of experience in solar installation, electrical projects, or related field.
• Certification in solar installation/renewable energy (preferred, not mandatory).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
