Subject Matter Expert - Security
Experience

This role will serve as the strategic and technical subject matter expert driving cybersecurity solutions across connected vehicle programs. This role will be responsible for defining, proposing, and articulating end-to-end cybersecurity solutions to OEMs and partners, supporting business acquisition efforts, and guiding internal teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable products.
The role demands a blend of deep technical knowledge, solution architecture expertise, and customer-facing leadership
to represent the company as a trusted cybersecurity partner in the automotive ecosystem.
What you ll do
:
1. Customer Engagement Business Development
- Act as the
Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME)
in customer discussions, workshops, and RFQ/RFI processes. - Understand customer cybersecurity requirements (UNECE R155, ISO/SAE 21434, OEM-specific standards) and translate them into solution proposals.
- Develop and present comprehensive cybersecurity concepts, architectures, and technical responses that align with customer needs.
- Partner with the business development and sales teams to shape winning strategies during the acquisition phase.
- Build strong credibility with customers by demonstrating domain expertise and practical implementation know-how.
2. Solution Definition Architecture
- Define end-to-end cybersecurity solutions covering embedded systems (TCU/ECU), backend/cloud, data pipelines, and OTA components.
- Collaborate with internal architecture teams to ensure security is embedded across product design, data flow, and communication layers.
- Review and validate cybersecurity concepts such as threat analysis risk assessment (TARA), secure boot, secure communication, key management, intrusion detection, and incident response.
- Guide solution architecture teams in aligning technical approaches with evolving cybersecurity regulations and customer expectations.
3. Internal Leadership Collaboration
- Work closely with the
product management and delivery teams
to define cybersecurity features and architectural blueprints for Sibros products (Deep Updater, Deep Logger, Deep Commander, etc.). - Mentor and guide engineering teams on secure development practices and compliance frameworks.
- Support delivery teams during audits, penetration testing, and cybersecurity assessments.
- Ensure consistency in cybersecurity strategy across programs and platforms.
4. External Representation Thought Leadership
- Represent Sibros at
industry forums, conferences, and working groups
related to automotive cybersecurity and software-defined vehicles. - Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, standardization organizations, and cybersecurity alliances.
- Contribute to thought leadership content such as whitepapers, blogs, and webinars to position Sibros as a leader in connected vehicle cybersecurity.
5. Governance Compliance
- Support implementation of UNECE R155, ISO/SAE 21434, and other global cybersecurity standards across Sibros programs.
- Drive processes for
Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS)
compliance and certification readiness. - Ensure all proposed solutions meet OEM and regulatory security requirements, including data privacy and cloud security aspects.
What you should know
: - Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Cybersecurity, or related field.

10 15 years of experience
in automotive cybersecurity, software architecture, or systems engineering. - Proven experience in defining or implementing cybersecurity architectures for connected vehicle systems (embedded + cloud).
- Strong knowledge of
ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155, R156, ISO 24089, AUTOSAR security, and secure OTA frameworks.
- Hands-on exposure to security concepts such as encryption, secure key management, authentication, IDS/IPS, and threat modeling.
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1s on cybersecurity requirements and assessments.
- Certifications such as
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
, Automotive Cybersecurity Professional (ACSP)
, or equivalent are desirable.
