  • Lead R&D efforts in high-performance composite spacecraft structures.
  • Join a multidisciplinary team tackling aerospace’s biggest engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform design and FEA (ANSYS, ABAQUS) of aerospace composite structures (shells, pressure vessels, tanks, nozzles).
  • Develop, test, and validate composite materials for thermal, cryogenic, and mechanical loads.
  • Lead experimental campaigns (vacuum, thermal, and mechanical) and incorporate results into design and modeling.
  • Evaluate buckling, post-buckling, thermal-stress, and ablation performance for composite cylinders and shells.
  • Collaborate with design, thermal, and propulsion teams to integrate composite structures into the launch system.
  • Maintain CAD, FEA, and PLM documentation ensuring seamless design workflow.

Mandatory Skill Sets:

  • PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (Composites focus)
  • Advanced FEA experience with ANSYS, ABAQUS (thermal and mechanical analyses).
  • Strong background in composite fabrication and experimental characterization.
  • Expertise in thermal-mechanical design of aerospace structures.
  • Strong publication record in composite structure modeling and thermal analyses.

Preferred Skill Sets:

  • Hands-on experience with vacuum bagging, compression molding, and filament winding.
  • Experience in aerospace thermal protection systems, cryogenic tanks, or ablation modeling.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA), PLM platforms, and GD&T.

Experience:

  • Required: 3–5 years (including PhD) in aerospace composites design and thermal-structural analysis.
  • Experience in aerospace R&D, academic research, or industry (launch vehicles, spacecraft, aerospace structures).

Education Qualification:

  • PhD in Aerospace Engineering (Composites, Thermal-Structural Focus)
  • M.Tech/ M.S. Aerospace Engineering (Structures/Composites)
