Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Prepare and review Design Basis Reports (DBRs) for substation tenders.
Evaluate client technical specifications and identify deviations/risks.
Participate in risk assessment and risk review meetings during pre-bid and post-bid stages.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Design, Estimation, Procurement) to consolidate technical inputs for RFP submissions.
Support in proposal strategy development, value engineering, and technical clarifications with clients.

Required Skills

Tendering Experience
: Minimum 5 years of experience in
tendering
for substation projects (from the
contractor's
side).
Contract Knowledge
: Good understanding of item-rate, lump-sum, and turnkey contracts.
Design Exposure
(Desirable): Prior hands-on experience in substation civil/structural design is an added advantage.
Software Proficiency
: Working knowledge of
STAAD Pro
is essential. Familiarity with ETABS and SAFE is a plus.
Code Familiarity
: Good understanding of relevant IS codes and standards related to civil and structural design.
MS EXCEL:
Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and knowledge of thumb Rules for calculating
estimation Indices
for RCC and Steel and optimize the cost
Strong analytical, costing, and communication skills
