Strategic Sourcing and NPD Engineer

As a Strategic Sourcing & NPD Engineer at Miko, you will play a crucial role in managing electronic component sourcing, engaging with global vendors and partners, and supporting end-to-end electronics development from concept to mass production. Your responsibilities will include sourcing ICs, developing strong relationships with manufacturers and distributors, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and evaluating PCBA fabrication partners. You will also collaborate with R&D and hardware teams during the new product development phase, support component selection, and ensure technical and quality compliance throughout the process. Key Responsibilities: - Source ICs, passives, sensors, and electromechanical components - Develop relationships with IC manufacturers, authorized distributors, EMS providers, OEMs, and ODMs - Identify alternate suppliers for cost savings and risk mitigation - Evaluate and select PCBA fabrication partners based on technical capabilities, cost, quality, and lead time - Negotiate pricing, supply terms, and ensure compliance with procurement protocols - Collaborate with R&D teams to support component selection during design phases - Assist in evaluating component compatibility for wireless protocols - Provide trade-off analysis for cost, availability, and performance of critical components - Support prototyping, validation builds, and ramp-up plans - Understand PCBA fabrication processes, material selection, testing, and compliance standards - Evaluate PCBA suppliers for technical and quality competence - Ensure environmental and material compliance standards are met - Manage PCN/EOL processes, obsolescence planning, and technical change control - Act as sourcing lead for RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs - Maintain up-to-date component data and lifecycle status - Collaborate with global supply chain and procurement teams Qualifications: - B.E./B.Tech in Electronics or related field with 4-6 years of sourcing or NPD experience OR - Diploma in Electronics Engineering with 6-8 years of relevant experience - Prior experience working with EMS/ODM and understanding of PCBA fabrication is a must Apply now to join Miko, a global deep tech company revolutionizing consumer robotics with cutting-edge innovation and technology.,
