Job Description

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations for construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Monitor material usage, wastage, and stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Perform regular physical stock verification and reconcile with ERP data.

2. ERP & Digital Systems Management

  • Manage all store-related transactions and documentation through Strategic ERP.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry (GRN, issue slips, material returns, stock adjustments).
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Accounts, and Project teams for smooth ERP workflow.
  • Identify gaps in ERP usage and suggest improvements to enhance system efficiency.

3. Material Handling & Logistics

  • Plan and organize the receipt, storage, and distribution of construction materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and site teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure proper handling, preservation, and storage of materials as per standards.

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with vendors for order follow-ups, discrepancies, and replacement of damaged goods.
  • Collaborate with site engineers, project managers, and procurement teams to align material requirements.

5. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain all store records, registers, and documentation in compliance with company and statutory guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality requirements, and audit compliance.
  • Prepare periodic reports such as consumption reports, stock aging, and MIS for management review.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma / Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum

    8 years of experience

    managing stores in the

    construction / infrastructure

    industry.
  • Proven experience working with

    Strategic ERP

    or similar construction ERP platforms.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction material specifications and standards.
  • Proficiency in Strategic ERP, MS Excel, and inventory management systems.
  • Sound understanding of stock management, procurement processes, and documentation.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project timelines.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
