Job Title: Senior Storekeeper Electrical Projects

Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
• Organize and categorize inventory as per industry specifications (e.g., cables, breakers, conduits, switches, MCC panels, fixtures, etc.).
• Conduct routine stock audits and report discrepancies.

• Material Receiving & Inspection

• Inspect delivered materials against purchase orders and technical specifications.
• Check quantities, quality, and confirm certifications (where applicable).
• Coordinate with suppliers for incorrect, damaged, or missing items.

• Material Storage & Handling

• Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive electrical items (cables, panels, control devices, hazardous items, etc.).
• Label all materials systematically for easy identification.
• Implement effective stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) as needed.

• Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain computerized inventory systems (ERP, Oracle, SAP, or Excel-based logs).
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for project teams.
• Generate material issuance tickets and delivery notes for site requirements.

• Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with site engineers, procurement, and project managers regarding stock levels and requirements.
• Support procurement by providing stock forecasts and recommending reorder levels.
• Follow up with suppliers for timely material delivery.

• Safety & Compliance

• Ensure storage compliance with safety regulations (handling electrical components, hazardous materials).
• Maintain safe working conditions and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Assist in internal and external audits as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Storekeeper in electrical construction, contracting, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, tools, and equipment used in installation and maintenance.
• Proficiency in inventory software (ERP/SAP/Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced project environments.
