As a Purchasing Manager, your role involves developing a purchasing strategy to efficiently manage procurement activities. You will review and process purchase orders, maintaining records of items ordered and received. Negotiating prices and contracts with suppliers will be crucial, along with building and nurturing relationships with vendors. Your responsibilities will also include scheduling deliveries, ensuring timely fulfillment of orders, and researching and evaluating vendors for pricing and service comparison. It will be your duty to select prospective vendors, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs. Addressing any problems related to the quality of procured items and staying updated with procurement trends will be essential in this role.
