Store In-charge

1. Key Responsibilities

A. Inventory & Material Management

• Maintain accurate stock levels of sheet metal components, FRP items, motors, pumps, electrical components, cooling media (pads), fasteners, and fabrication materials.
• Ensure GRN (Goods Receipt Note) creation, proper labeling, and binning of incoming materials.
• Regularly conduct cycle counts and monthly stock audits; investigate and reconcile variances.
• Monitor minimum/maximum stock and raise PRs (purchase requisitions) when needed.
• Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices for consumables, paints, chemicals, and other age-sensitive materials.

B. Material Issue & Production Support

• Issue materials as per BOM (Bill of Materials) and production plans for air cooler/cooling tower assembly lines.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, and QC to ensure timely availability of all required parts.
• Monitor returnable materials and maintain proper documentation for rework or excess materials.

C. ERP / Documentation

• Update all transactions in ERP/Inventory Management Software—GRN, material issues, adjustments, transfers, and dispatch entries.
• Maintain documentation related to purchase invoices, QC reports, vendor return notes, and scrap records.
• Generate MIS reports: daily stock, shortages, material movement, and consumption analysis.

D. Warehouse Operations & Housekeeping

• Ensure proper storage conditions for electrical components, FRP panels, cooling pads, motors, gearboxes, and chemicals.
• Implement 5S and ensure systematic binning, labeling, and cleanliness.
• Maintain safety guidelines for lifting, stacking, and handling of heavy components.

E. Coordination & Vendor Interaction

• Coordinate with vendors for timely material delivery, material returns, or replacements.
• Work with QA/QC teams for material inspections and rejection handling.
• Support logistic teams for packing, loading, and dispatch of finished goods.

F. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and audit guidelines.
• Train store helpers in safety practices, PPE use, and material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks).
• Maintain secure storage and minimize material wastage, damage, or pilferage.

2. Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of industrial components used in air coolers and cooling towers.
• Expertise in inventory control, stock keeping, and material management systems.
• Proficiency in ERP/SAP/Tally/Inventory Software.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage manpower and optimize store operations.
• Understanding of BOM, fabrication parts, electrical items, motors, and pump assemblies.

3. Qualifications & Experience

• Qualification: Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience: 3–8 years in stores or warehouse operations within a manufacturing setup (preferably HVAC, industrial equipment, fabrication, or cooling towers).
• Added Advantage: Knowledge of ISO documentation, 5S, and lean inventory practices.

4. Performance Metrics (KPIs)

• Inventory accuracy (%).
• Timeliness of material issuance for production.
• Reduction in stock variance or material loss.
• ERP transaction accuracy rate.
• Compliance with 5S and safety standards.
• On-time dispatch performance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
