Store In-Charge

Job Purpose:

The Store In-Charge is responsible for the overall management of the store, including receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of materials. The role ensures proper stock maintenance, accurate records, and timely availability of materials while following organizational policies and procedures.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials as per purchase orders and invoices
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and stacking of materials
• Issue materials as per authorized requisitions and maintain issue records
• Maintain accurate inventory records (stock registers / software)
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies
• Monitor stock levels and raise indents for replenishment in a timely manner
• Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) practices wherever applicable
• Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, and User Departments
• Maintain all store-related documents such as GRN, issue slips, stock registers, and vendor challans
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper security of store premises
• Prevent loss, damage, or pilferage of materials
• Prepare periodic inventory and consumption reports
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and audit requirements
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management from time to time

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of inventory and store management practices
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel / inventory software)
• Good organizational and record-keeping abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments
• Honest, responsible, and disciplined approach to work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
