Job Title: Store In-Charge

Job Summary:
The Store In-Charge will be responsible for efficiently managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, consumables, tools, and spare parts required for production and maintenance in a mechanical manufacturing setup. The role involves inventory control, documentation, and coordination with procurement, production, and maintenance departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily store operations and ensure smooth inward and outward movement of materials
• Maintain accurate stock records (raw materials, tools, mechanical components, and electrical spares)
• Ensure systematic, safe, and accessible storage (FIFO, LIFO practices)
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchase team for timely replenishment
• Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification
• Handle GRNs, MRNs, and issue slips in ERP or manually
• Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels to avoid stock-outs or overstocking
• Coordinate with production and maintenance departments for timely issuance of materials
• Ensure proper labeling, binning, and segregation of all inventory items
• Monitor shelf life of consumables and critical spares
• Manage scrap and obsolete items as per company policies
• Ensure adherence to safety, housekeeping, and 5S principles
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consumption reports

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
• 3–4 years of experience in store/inventory management in the mechanical/engineering sector
• Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing materials (e.g., fasteners, bearings, tools, lubricants, castings)
• Working knowledge of Tally ERP systems and MS Office, especially Excel
• Strong understanding of inventory control and documentation practices
• Excellent communication and team coordination skills
• Awareness of safety standards in industrial store operations

Preferred Attributes:

• Certification in storekeeping, inventory control, or materials management
• Experience in ISO, 5S, or lean manufacturing practices
