Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain an efficient storekeeping system.
  • Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels and accurate inventory records.
  • Receive, inspect, and store materials as per purchase orders.
  • Check materials for quality, quantity, specifications, and condition.
  • Classify and store materials in proper locations with care and preservation.
  • Issue materials to departments as per approved indents and schedules.
  • Conduct periodic stock verification and ensure stock accuracy.
  • Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and proper working conditions.
  • Prepare material orders and process vendor bills for accounts payment.
  • Handle disposal of scrap and unserviceable materials as per procedure.
  • Train, guide, and supervise store staff and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Maintain all records, documents, and reports up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audits.
  • Generate reports and support audits as required.
