As an experienced Material Handling Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials for our company. Your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing the receipt and unloading of raw materials, ensuring proper documentation such as delivery challans, invoices, and purchase orders are in place. - Verifying the quantity and quality of materials received against purchase orders, in coordination with the Quality Control team. - Issuing raw materials to production and outsourcing teams according to schedules. - Supplying raw materials to outsourcing vendors as per the Picklist, maintaining accuracy and timeliness. - Ensuring that storage conditions meet material-specific requirements, such as rustproofing and weather protection. - Supervising contract workmen involved in material handling, ensuring their adherence to safety protocols. - Posting MR/Picklist entries in SAP for accurate tracking of material movements. - Developing and maintaining a systematic layout for materials in storage to optimize space utilization effectively. - Conducting regular safety drills and training sessions for contract workers involved in material handling. - Enforcing strict adherence to material handling safety standards, including the use of appropriate tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
