Store Assistant

Role Overview: You will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the factory store at Duttapukur Factory, West Bengal. This includes tasks such as receiving, issuing, and maintaining inventory records while ensuring materials are stored safely and efficiently. Your attention to detail, coordination with production and purchase teams, and adherence to company procedures for inventory control will be crucial for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in receiving materials, verifying quantity and quality based on delivery challans and purchase orders. - Maintain accurate records of materials received and issued in registers or Tally systems. - Safely store and label materials according to category and usage guidelines. - Support in stock counting and participate in periodic inventory audits. - Issue materials to departments upon proper requisitions and maintain necessary documentation. - Coordinate with Purchase and Accounts teams for GRN (Goods Receipt Note), Invoice, and Reconciliation. - Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper stacking of materials within the store. - Monitor minimum stock levels and promptly report shortages or discrepancies to the Store In-Charge. - Organize tools, equipment, consumables, and spares efficiently within the store. - Assist in dispatch activities and loading/unloading operations when required. Qualifications Required: - Basic understanding of storekeeping, inventory management, and documentation. - Knowledge of MS Excel/Tally is preferred. - Good record-keeping abilities. - Physical fitness and capability to handle factory materials safely. - Honest, punctual, and responsible in handling company inventory.
