Description
Role: Storage & Backup Architect Exp:12+yrs Skills: Backup Primary skill: Commvault Secondary: HP data protector, Net backup Storage Primary Skill: Dell EMC Vmax Secondary : HP Storages. Experience in designing storage and backup infrastructure. Identify/Finalize storage & backup requirements for on premise and cloud. Work with vendors to POC new products and enhance capability of existing platforms. Suggest project/account design reviews. Review and approve project design deliverables. Analyze DR setup and redesign if applicable, based on the target environment for each of the application for which DR is required. Experience in preparing reports, LLD-HLD documents, presentation and effective communication skills with customer. Experience supporting mission critical storage & data protection solutions is highly desired, leading POCs, working with internal customers on requirements determination. Expert level knowledge in enterprise storage & backup concepts (SAN and ENAS), concepts (SNAPSHOT, SRDF), and solutions (VMAX, commvault, HPDP ) Expert level knowledge on tools like Unisphere , ViPR SRM, SANNAV & SCG. Should have expert knowledge on performance issues, multipath issues etc. Good knowledge of troubleshooting and performing basic activities of zoning and concepts of the zoning on BROCADE and CISCO switches. Experience in Capacity/Performance planning and perform analysis of current landscape of storage workloads and Storage pools. Gain an in-depth understanding of the customers business and IT environments. Unisphere, BROCADE, ViPR SRM tool awareness & expertise: New storage allocation request and process. Upgrade process Decommission process. Disaster recovery planning and readiness Capacity planning Automation in storage/backup reporting (Powershell) Replication, snapshot concepts Restore concepts. Awareness of ViPR SRM tool to edit and modify scheduled reports. Data Center technologies awareness: Basic OS (Windows, Linux) knowledge. networking knowledge. knowledge on Virtualization environment.
