MedPlus Health Services Limited is hiring for a Purchasing Manager / Stationery Sourcing Head

The Purchasing Manager (Stationery) will lead the end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and supplier-management function for all stationery items across the organization. The role demands strong commercial acumen, vendor development, negotiation expertise, and the ability to ensure cost-effective procurement with zero disruption to supply.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for all stationery categories to ensure cost optimization and uninterrupted supply.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors; conduct competitive bidding and finalise cost-effective rate contracts.
  • Create and maintain supplier scorecards for continuous performance evaluation.

Vendor Negotiation & Supplier Management

  • Negotiate pricing, credit terms, annual contracts, and service SLAs.
  • Develop alternate vendor options to reduce risk and dependency.
  • Address issues related to quality, delivery delays, and payment discrepancies.

Inventory & Cost Management

  • Monitor stock levels and set accurate reorder points to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Analyse consumption patterns and market price trends to drive cost savings.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement budgets and implement cost-control initiatives.

Operations & Process Compliance

  • Review and approve PRs/POs with accuracy and compliance to SOPs.
  • Ensure timely delivery through coordination with vendors, warehouse, and internal teams.
  • Maintain robust documentation for audits, vendor onboarding, and price approvals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, Admin, Finance, and Warehouse teams to understand demand and forecast requirements.
  • Align procurement planning with business expansion and new project needs.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the procurement team; set KPIs and monitor performance.
  • Train team members on negotiation techniques, vendor management, and ERP usage.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare MIS reports on procurement costs, vendor performance, savings, and monthly consumption.
  • Track sector trends, new products, innovations, and pricing movements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain/Commerce/Business; MBA preferred.
  • 7–12 years of strong experience in procurement, preferably stationery sourcing.
  • Expertise in negotiation, vendor management, and high-volume purchasing.
  • Strong MS Excel and ERP/procurement system skills.
  • Excellent communication (English & Hindi) with strong analytical and forecasting abilities.
  • Deep knowledge of stationery SKUs, specifications, and market trends.
