Job Description

Qualification:

Masters degree/PG Diploma in Agribusiness management/ agricultural marketing/ Business Administration (Marketing)/ Rural Management/ Agricultural economics.

Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience of value chain development.
Experience of designing, formulating and implementing agri-food value chain development initiatives.
Experience of promoting and strengthening farmers interest groups and farmers producers organizations, including assisting in promotion business by the FPOs/ FPO federations/ Cooperatives/ entrepreneurs/ agri-business industries.
Experience of leading market assessment and engaging with market players for development of demand for farmers produce.
Strong analytical and operational knowledge of enterprise development and understanding of the range of support needed for enterprise development from start-up to expansion. Experience of developing agribusiness models, enterprises and promoting agri-preneurs.
Strong understanding of green value chain related innovations and technology.
Good planning and capacity building skills.
Working experience with the state government.
Proficiency in English and Hindi.
High levels of computer literacy; competent use of Microsoft Office package (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
