Staff Platform Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Take full ownership of Zocdocs design system and evolve it to meet the needs of the growing platform - Collaborate with designers to translate visual and interaction patterns into reusable, accessible components - Partner with engineers to implement scalable systems that enhance developer experience and ensure product consistency - Ensure accessibility standards are met and promote inclusive design practices across teams - Establish best practices for design system adoption, usage, and contribution organization-wide - Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to align on goals and priorities - Mentor and support team members to foster a culture of learning and innovation Qualifications Required: - Passion for creating equitable, inclusive, and user-centered design systems - 7+ years of front-end development experience with a focus on design systems and component libraries - Expertise in modern front-end technologies like React, TypeScript, and CSS-in-JS solutions (e.g., Emotion or Styled Components) - Deep understanding of accessibility (WCAG) standards and commitment to inclusive design - Strong collaboration skills with experience working closely with designers and engineers - Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action and problem-solving - Excellent communication skills to ensure stakeholder alignment - Learning mindset, humility, and respect for diverse perspectives (Note: Additional Company Details have been omitted from the Job Description),
