Department:

1. Qualification Required

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution
  
• Registered with State Nursing Council
  

• BLS mandatory, ACLS preferred

2. Skills Required

• Strong clinical assessment and critical care skills
  
• Knowledge of ventilators, monitors, and ICU equipment
  
• Ability to handle emergencies and Code Blue situations
  
• Accurate documentation and reporting skills
  
• Understanding of infection control & ICU protocols
  
• Good communication and teamwork ability
  

3. Experience Requirement

• 13 years of ICU/Critical Care experience preferred

• Freshers with strong aptitude may be considered (as per hospital policy)
  

4. Roles and Responsibilities

Patient Care

• Provide

  continuous monitoring

  of ICU patients
• Record and interpret vitals: BP, HR, Spo, ECG, urine output, etc.
  
• Assist in ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and infusion pumps
  
• Monitor and report patient condition changes promptly
  

Clinical Procedures

• Perform IV cannulation, catheter insertion, NG tube care, suctioning, etc.
  
• Assist doctors during procedures: intubation, central line insertion, etc.
  
• Administer medications, injections, and emergency drugs
  

Emergency Management

• Respond promptly to Code Blue and critical events
  
• Provide CPR and emergency care as per ACLS/BLS guidelines
  
• Maintain readiness of crash cart and emergency equipment
  

Documentation

• Maintain accurate nursing notes, medication charts, and treatment records
  
• Ensure proper handover communication between shifts
  
• Follow ICU protocols for safety, infection control, and equipment use
  

Coordination

• Coordinate with doctors, respiratory therapists, lab, radiology, and pharmacy
  
• Support patient families with updates as per hospital policy
  
• Participate in audits, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives
