Role Description

We are seeking a Staff Nurse Incharge - Labour Room at our Kozhikode facility. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for leading and managing the labour room operations. Key responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, providing hands-on patient care during labor and delivery, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring proper documentation of medical records. The individual will also coordinate with the obstetric team to provide safe and efficient care to mothers and newborns and promote adherence to hospital policies and protocols.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in labor room management, patient monitoring
• Strong knowledge of obstetric and gynecological procedures.
• Leadership, team coordination, and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
• Effective communication, patient counseling, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) and a diploma or degree in nursing.
• Experience in similar roles is preferred, particularly in labor and delivery settings.
• Commitment to providing compassionate care coupled with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations and infection control protocols.
