Job Description

As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. ORMaster's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. ORPhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the architectural validation of Silicon level hardware and for identifying design implementation bugs through pre/post-silicon system level validation. Your responsibilities will include developing methodologies, executing validation plans and coverage, and debugging failures.

You will also be responsible for validating the functionality of new architectural features in next-generation designs by developing test plans, test content, and coverage points.

Job Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering, with at least 8-12 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Power Management IC interfacing, DVFS, and system low power modes.
  • Proficiency in validating power management subsystems and SoC Power infra.
  • Proficiency in measuring the power/performance features of a SoC.
  • Proficiency in developing random stress stimulus validation frameworks.
  • Good command of C and Python programming for content development and scripting.
  • Awareness of debug instrumentation and interfaces such as JTAG and Trace.
  • Knowledge of ARM SoC concepts and architecture specifications like SMMU, GIC, and Coresight.
  • Ability to debug and resolve hardware issues and implement software use-cases.
  • Ability to use lab equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and Lauterbach debuggers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly adjust to new environments and learn new technologies.
