Staff Engineer

Role Overview: As a Staff Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading the evolution of a next-generation, privacy-first advertising platform. Your primary responsibility will be to embed machine learning and generative AI into various layers of the platform to enhance ad targeting, bidding, attribution, fraud prevention, and creative optimization. Your contributions will be instrumental in defining speed, reliability, and innovation within a system that processes millions of requests per second and billions of events daily. Key Responsibilities: - Define the multi-year technical roadmap, considering innovation, revenue, and regulatory requirements. - Architect low-latency, high-throughput ad-serving systems with AI as the core element. - Develop machine learning pipelines for model training, deployment, and continuous learning. - Collaborate with data scientists to transition prototypes into scalable production systems. - Design fault-tolerant, horizontally scalable systems that are cost and performance optimized. - Ensure privacy-by-design principles are implemented across all platforms, adhering to GDPR, CCPA, and ATT regulations. - Lead critical platform initiatives from conceptualization to production, addressing performance bottlenecks and enhancing system reliability. - Mentor engineers, influence architectural decisions, and promote the adoption of best practices. Qualifications Required: - Problem solver with an AI-first mindset and system-level thinking. - Proficiency in high-scale cloud-native architecture (GCP/AWS) and Kubernetes. - Expertise in distributed data processing, streaming frameworks, and analytics systems. - Ability to deliver under tight deadlines while balancing technical excellence with business priorities. - Collaborative, influential, and capable of guiding teams without relying solely on authority.
