Summary:
This position is a member of the Safety Operations team within Global Patient Safety (GPS). This position serves as a subject matter expert for literature review and intake activities. Individuals will perform reviews of literature abstracts and articles and intake of the literature cases.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review of weekly literature abstracts for identification of valid and invalid safety case creation Order full text literature articles as required and review full text for valid and invalid safety case creation Book in and case intake of valid and invalid safety cases from the abstract and article review Quality control abstract and article review and intake both in-line and retrospective as required New hire training and certification for literature review and intake Ordering of copyrights and translations as required Perform follow up activities for literature cases Perform intake activities for cases from other sources as neededQualifications:
Medical and clinical knowledgeExcellent oral and written communicationOperates effectively in a team environmentAbility to work independently under strict deadlines and changing priorities with some supervisionAbility to multi-task and prioritize changing workload on a daily basisWorking knowledge of worldwide and regional safety regulationsAbility to establish proficiency working in the Pharmacovigilance Safety System and Literature tracking toolStrong reading comprehension skillsEducation and/or Experience:
Degree in nursing or pharmacy or equivalentMinimum of 5 years experience in Pharmacovigilance required2-3 years hospital, patient care, or equivalent experience preferredEqual Employment Opportunity
