As a Software Developer at Gallagher, you will have a significant impact by developing robust, scalable, and maintainable software applications using the .NET stack (ASP.NET Core, C#, etc.). Your responsibilities will include: - Writing clean, well-documented, and efficient code according to coding standards. - Mentoring and training team members when necessary. - Collaborating on software development projects with business teams and other IT teams globally. - Performing business analysis of requirements, including effective communication and documentation of specifications. - Engaging in programming work using coding skills such as C#, .NET CORE, SQL Server, ASP.NET CORE WebAPI, and Angular 2+. - Participating in or leading architectural solution discussions and writing technical specifications. - Conducting code reviews as required. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in software development. - Recommended Bachelor's in Engineering/Master of Computer Applications/Master of Computer Science or related certifications. - Sound knowledge of software development life cycle and hands-on coding experience, with a preference for Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in web development. - Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET frameworks. - Ability to design and develop RESTful Web APIs using ASP.NET Core. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases. - Understanding of software development lifecycle and exposure to AGILE and SCRUM methodologies. - Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design and design patterns. Additionally, experience in developing microservices-based architecture, knowledge of Azure services like App Services, Functions, Azure Service Bus, Cosmos DB, web application security, and familiarity with data transfer protocols and methodologies would be advantageous.
