Sr. QA - Underwriting

As a QA Underwriter at Digital Risk, you will play a crucial role in the mortgage underwriting process by reviewing mortgage files submitted for underwriting. Your responsibilities will include assessing income, analyzing debt and assets, as well as conducting a thorough review of appraisals and titles. You will be required to enter data into the loan operating system, utilize automated underwriting systems, and ensure compliance with client guidelines for loan approval. Your essential job functions will involve reviewing all aspects of mortgage loan files, underwriting loans based on client guidelines, evaluating document accuracy and compliance, identifying and resolving issues, providing excellent customer service, and staying updated on client and investor requirements. Additionally, you will assist processors and loan officers in understanding underwriting decisions and conditions, working efficiently in a high-stress environment, and being available to work beyond regular business hours. To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years of current conventional mortgage loan underwriting experience. You should possess strong knowledge of income calculations, tax returns, credit reports, and appraisal basics. Familiarity with GSE underwriting guidelines, automated underwriting engines, excellent analytical and communication skills, detail-oriented approach, flexibility in a production-oriented environment, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are essential requirements. NMLS-MLO Licensure is preferred, and willingness to work in a strict security environment and across multiple systems is necessary.
