Job Description

As a Senior Java Developer at BMC, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing high-quality, portable, maintainable, and BMC standards-compliant software. Your contributions will be vital to the success of BMC and your personal growth. Here is how you will contribute to the success of BMC: - Participate in module design with a focus on producing high-quality software that meets BMC standards - Provide design and requirement inputs to the product architect - Demonstrate passion for quality, creativity, and innovation in enhancing the product - Possess excellent problem-solving, debugging, analytical, and communication skills - Quickly adapt to new languages and technologies as needed for project delivery - Work on complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of various factors - Ensure timely availability of all documentation necessary for problem resolution - Coach junior support team members in handling challenging customer situations To excel in this role, you should have the following skills and experience: - 5-7+ years of experience in object-oriented development and writing commercial-grade software applications - Strong knowledge of Core & Advanced Java, J2EE, REST web services - Experience with MS-SQL, MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB - Familiarity with JBOSS, Tomcat Application Server, maven, Ant, Windows, UNIX operating systems - Additional knowledge in microservice development, Sprint boot framework, Kubernetes deployment, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Elastic search, VictoriaMetrics, cloud technologies, GIT repository, TestTrack, JIRA tools - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related disciplines preferred - Experience in agile development environment and tools - Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues - Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Additionally, the following skills are desirable and can be developed with the help of our team: - Microservice development and architecture - Sprint boot framework - Kubernetes deployment - PostgreSQL, Kafka, elastic search, VictoriaMetrics - Cloud technologies (AWS, OCI, GCP) - GIT repository - TestTrack, JIRA tools BMC values its employees and encourages talents from diverse backgrounds to apply.
