Sr. Power Electronics Hardware Design Specialist

Role Overview: You will be a part of Newen's Product R&D Team, where you will play a crucial role in Hardware Design related to Power Electronics Products. Your responsibilities will include architecting circuits, designing high-power converters, selecting suitable components, and conducting advanced research to enhance product endurance and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities: - Architect circuits for Power Electronics Products, selecting appropriate technology and components. - Design high-power IGBT based AC-DC and DC-DC Converters up to 250kW. - Design complex products involving Topology Design, Thermal Design, Enclosure Design, Magnetics & Filter Design, and Wire routing design. - Understand NABL and UL approvals for BOM and Production Facility. - Implement UL, ICE, CE Certifications. - Lead advanced research for cost reduction and product Endurance improvement. - Select suitable sensors, computational platforms, protection devices, communication methodologies, and ICs. - Develop Analog and Digital circuit Schematic and BOM in ORCAD. - Collaborate with layout engineer for layout-related considerations. - Provide inputs for PCB manufacturing and testing. - Work with Software Engineers on Algorithm design and System Integration. - Develop proof-of-concept implementations, prototypes, and demos. - Disseminate knowledge of hardware design standards and best practices. - Prepare reports and presentations on design and development status. - Direct research on emerging hardware products and standards. Qualification Required: - B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Power Electronics. Required Skills: - Hands-on experience with analog, digital, and embedded boards in CAD tools like ORCAD/ALTIUM/KiCAD/PROTEL. - Strong understanding of communication technologies such as RS232/422/485, I2C, SPI, CAN, etc. - Experience in integrating Microcontrollers, DSPs, FPGA. - Hardware troubleshooting experience using DSO, Logic Analyzer, Multimeter. - Familiarity with sensors, OPAMPs, Power Supplies, and topology selection.
