Sr. Manager Purchase (RM / PM) Pharma / Animal Health Co

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, CAPEX, and R&D requirements for all manufacturing sites
• Ensure adequate stock levels and buffer maintenance of RM/PM at vendor, supplier, and CMO locations to consistently achieve OTIF targets
• Drive overall cost savings initiatives and meet procurement-related targets aligned with the business continuity plan
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including QA, RA, Legal, Manufacturing, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing to ensure seamless backend and frontend integration
• Handle end-to-end strategic sourcing including vendor selection, commercial negotiations, contracting, and support through manufacturing to commercialization
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across cost, efficiency, inventory management, payment terms, pricing, contracts, and supplier performance
• Develop, communicate, and administer procurement and sourcing team performance management, development plans, and appraisals
• Ensure adherence to domestic and international pharmaceutical regulatory procurement guidelines
• Strengthen supplier relationships and manage risk to ensure uninterrupted supply

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or MBA in Operations / Supply Chain Management
• 10 to 15 years of experience in procurement of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, CAPEX, and R&D for pharmaceutical manufacturing sites
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Head Procurement or equivalent leadership role
• Strong exposure to procurement processes in the pharmaceutical formulations industry
• Good understanding of domestic and international regulatory requirements related to pharma procurement
• Proven experience in team leadership, performance management, and talent development within procurement functions
