Purpose/Objective


    Senior Manager - Civil projects is responsible for supporting the execution and oversight of civil construction activities. The role involves coordinating with contractors, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and assisting the Lead in the successful delivery of construction projects according to specifications and timelines

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Project Execution: Coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring work aligns with approved shop drawings and specifications. Facilitate communication between site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure proper execution of assigned tasks. Quality Control and Inspections: Perform routine site inspections to verify that construction works adhere to quality standards and engineering specifications. Report any quality issues or non-compliance to the Lead and recommend corrective actions. Health and Safety Compliance: Support the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols across all construction sites, ensuring that contractors follow safety regulations. Conduct hazard assessments and participate in safety audits, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel. Progress Tracking and Reporting: Track and document daily progress of construction activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and milestones. Prepare regular progress reports for the Lead, highlighting any delays or challenges encountered on site. Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Assist in managing contracts by ensuring deliverables are met as per the agreement. Liaise with vendors for timely supply of materials and equipment. Document Management and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate project documentation, including inspection reports, compliance records, and construction plans. Ensure that all documents are properly stored and readily available for project reviews and audits. Key Stakeholders - Internal: Head - Design Project Management Team Engineering Team Safety and Compliance Department Operations Team Key Stakeholders - External: Contractors and Subcontractors Regulatory Authorities Airport Officials Quality Assurance Auditors

Qualifications and Experience


    Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. Work Experience: 12+ years of experience in civil construction, preferably within large infrastructure with minimum experience of 5 years in the airport sector. Proven experience in coordinating with contractors and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
