Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Ensure issuing RFQ and obtaining and evaluation of offers for materials / services
Vendor Development / Vendor Negotiation and finalisation of orders as per DOP
Review PO pending list and alerts vendors for timely delivery / completion of critical materials & services
Planned negotiations as per department estimated cost / internal costing
Obtaining EPCG licence for import of capital goods to avoid duty and redemptions of licence for releasing BG and Bond.
Customs clearance of import goods
Ensure timely posting of receipt and consumption of materials in system
Ensure physical verifications of stores stock as per inventory policy
Maintain stock level of critical and insurance spares
Disposal and sale of obsolete and scrap materials as per inventory policy.
Disposal of non-moving items
Quality procedure and compliances
Timely finalization of orders
On Time ENFA & PO as per DOP
On time delivery of materials / services
Cost saving over department estimate

Preferred candidate profile

BE Mechanical with PG in Management and experience of negotiation and procurement
Experience with ship owning companies is an added advantage
Incumbent should have worked with reputed organization having turnover of more than INR 500 Crore
Minimum 15 plus years experience in negotiation and procurement
Experience in SAP based procurement and inventory system is essential
