Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the maintenance department to ensure uninterrupted operation of all plant equipment and facilities. Oversee maintenance and upkeep of equipment such as EOT cranes, column and boom, welding machines, plasma cutting machines, positioners, gas-operated and electric furnaces, blasting chambers, painting booths, heaters, blowers, and vacuum pumps. Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Coordinate installation and commissioning of new workshops, machinery, and civil work-related activities. Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements. Manage a team of approximately 20 employees, providing technical guidance and performance monitoring. Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for maintenance-related activities. Prepare and manage budgets, spare parts inventory, and maintenance records.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong technical knowledge of fabrication shop machinery and utilities. Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Hands-on approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, and safety teams.
