Integrate critical functional, safety, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Homologation, WPC) into hardware design. Conduct competitor analysis and implement best design practices internally. Ensure functional safety through effective technical safety concept definitions. Responsible for schematic design, BOM finalization, DFMEA, and PCB layout development. Monitor technological trends and evaluate vendor proposals to achieve optimal cost-quality balance. Architect and design hardware systems, selecting major components and defining interface strategies. Organize and lead hardware design reviews with internal teams, suppliers, and domain experts. Mentor team members and address skill gaps through regular training sessions. Own and manage release of all design review documentation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Technical Expertise: End-to-end experience in product development and iits lifecycle (from prototyping to production support). Deep knowledge of hardware electrical tests, functional tests, and EMI/EMC compliance. Proficient in schematic creation and BOM generation using Altium Designer. Hands-on experience in single-layer PCB layout, including power circuits. Expertise in display hardware design (e.g., Backlight, TCONs, SerDes, interfaces) and MCU integration. Experience in STM, SOC chip, BLE/BT chip handling and its criticality Functional Safety knowledge (e.g., ISO 26262) and basic Cybersecurity principles (e.g., HSM, secure boot). Familiarity with automotive electrical and EMC standards (e.g., ISO, JASO) and practical troubleshooting. Strong EMI/EMC knowledge, including standards (FCC, CISPR, IEC) and mitigation techniques (layout, shielding, grounding). Experience in EMI/EMC test execution using spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, and chamber setups. Tools & Protocols: Expertise in Cadence Allegro for schematic and BOM design. Understanding of communication protocols: CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI. Experience in power electronics design. Knowledge of power components: LDOs, DC-DC converters, PMICs, and analog/digital interfaces. Circuit simulation skills using SPICE tools (preferably LTSPICE). Proficiency in signal chain design: Op-Amps, ADCs, DACs. Knowledge of discrete component design: BJTs, MOSFETs, Diodes. Leadership & Soft Skills: Demonstrated technical leadership and project ownership. Proven ability to work with multinational and cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving attitude and proactive mindset. Experience with automotive ECU design (e.g., BCMs, Instrument Clusters, Displays).
