Job Description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial reporting and analysis

Supervise the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Provide regular reports to senior leadership on the company's financial status, including performance analysis and key metrics.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement in profitability and efficiency.

Operational accounting

Oversee all daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Manage payroll processing and related tax compliance.
Process and reconcile purchase and sales transactions, including both local and import/export activities.
Handle bank reconciliations and manage banking relationships.

Budgeting and cost management

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor and manage costs, particularly those related to manufacturing operations and inventory.
Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against budget targets.

Audit and compliance

Ensure the company adheres to all statutory and regulatory requirements, such as tax laws (e.g., GST).
Coordinate with internal and external auditors and assist in the timely closure of audits
Implement and strengthen internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and experience

Education:
CA inter or M.Com is typically the minimum requirement.
Experience
: 7 15 years of experience, out of which a minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
