Job Description

Job Overview

To drive effective product management and planning initiatives that contribute to organizational revenue, market growth, and enhanced consumer satisfaction for the Wiring Devices (WD) business.

Product Planning & Development

  • Manage product lifecycle planning for existing product lines and new product introductions.
  • Build product concepts by defining target market, conducting user research, and performing detailed market analysis.
  • Initiate and manage new product development ideas aligned with business and consumer needs.

Marketing & Business Planning

  • Coordinate and support the development of marketing plans to achieve annual and long-term business objectives in terms of sales, product placement, and brand establishment in the market and consumer mindshare.
  • Conduct market and competition analysis to identify opportunities, pricing trends, and product gaps for WD.

Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional coordination with Sales, Marketing, Product Design, Industrial Design, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.
  • Manage project schedules, negotiations, and deliverables to meet business objectives.

Market Intelligence & Customer Insights

  • Conduct dealer visits, surveys, and customer feedback sessions to capture market insights and voice of customer (VoC).
  • Analyze competitor promotions, campaigns, and market initiatives to support effective decision-making.
  • Experiment with new methods of customer engagement through dealers, builders, consultants, contractors, and electricians.

Business Support

  • Provide sales analysis and insights for WD at a Pan-India level.
  • Recommend innovative solutions and ideas to improve product positioning, sales, and business growth.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between Product and Sales teams to support BU objectives.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of product management, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar profile.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills.
  • Proactive, process-oriented, self-motivated, with a focused approach.

Formal Education

  • B.E. (Major as Electrical stream is preferred)
  • MBA (Preferred)

Experience

3 to 5 years of relevant experience in product management or sales within the Wiring Devices / Electrical industry.
