Job Description

JD for Sr Executive - Finance (Accounts payable)

The ideal candidate will ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments, while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Review, verify, and process invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain vendor master data and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
Prepare and analyze accounts payable aging reports.
Collaborate with procurement and other departments to resolve purchase order and invoice mismatches.
Monitor and process advances and expense claims in accordance with company travel and expense policies.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
Support internal and external audits related to accounts payable.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws (e.g., TDS, GST) and company policies.

Key Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience:
35 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a mid to large-sized organization.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar ERP).
Strong MS Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).

Knowledge:

Solid understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes.
Familiarity with tax implications (GST, TDS, etc.) in AP transactions.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in shared services or a multinational environment.
Working knowledge of workflow and approval tools
