Sr. Engineer - Proposals

Job Summary:

If you are an experienced proposal professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Mumbai location and candidates from other locations can also apply provided they are ready to relocate. You will partner with sales organization of Process Systems and Solutions business unit teams across India to prepare optimum Solution & Proposal, Cost Estimation & Optimization, Techno commercial Meetings with customer, Project Specific Solution Presentations, Meeting deadlines for the offers.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Possess thorough knowledge of DCS and PLC Systems, Safety Instrumented System (SIS), Industrial busses, Hazardous Area Classification
• Process automation concepts and appropriate interpretation of requirements
• Knowledge of third-party products used in system design
• Able to analyze customer requirement and design solutions.
• Decipher the enquiry and highlight the advantageous points and the loading points to sales
• Prepare optimum techno-commercial offer within the defined time
• Coordination with vendors for third party component offer evaluation of the same for technical suitability
• Should be able to work with minimal direction
• Work as an individual contributor and as a team member
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Work as an individual contributor and as a team member and gel with the existing team
• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent knowledge of at least one Legacy Distributed Control System.
• Proficient in PC skills and application software like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc.
• Understanding of project life cycle from concept to commissioning.
• Understanding of customer need and translating it into technical solution.
• Able to size and analyze DCS system based on RFQ requirements.
• Analytical thinker with excellent Communication, presentation, interpersonal and prioritization skills well-organized and detail oriented.
• Excels at self-managing workload and executing multiple concurrent projects to meet deadlines.
• Ability to effectively interact with peers and sales team members of the organization to meet milestones.
• Ability to deal with conflicting priorities from internal stakeholders and demonstrate resilience and strong influencing skills to manage these effectively.
• Confidence and interpersonal/communication skills to work and influence at all levels.
