Job Overview: Electrica Engineers Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer in Design Department to support the Testing, Certification, and Development of Automotive Lighting Systems . The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Photometry and Colorimetry Testing , as well as a solid understanding of Automotive Lighting Regulatory Standards , including ARAI and ECE . This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that automotive lighting products meet compliance and performance requirements for homologation . Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of automotive interior and exterior lighting regulatory requirements, specifically AIS (012, 057) and ECE (R148, R150) standards. Testing Expertise : Independently conduct photometry and colorimetry testing of both exterior and interior automotive lamps to ensure they meet specified standards. Report Generation : Create, evaluate, and validate photometry and colorimetry reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Certification Coordination : Collaborate with ARAI and ECE for certification activities, ensuring timely submission and approval of lighting products. Audits : Prepare for and actively participate in ARAI, ECE , and CCC COP audits for automotive lighting systems. DVP Testing : Provide knowledge and support for DVP testing specific to Automotive Lighting (preferred). Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams such as R&D, design, and quality to integrate homologation requirements into the product development lifecycle. Desired Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field. Experience: 2 - 4 years of experience in photometry and colorimetry testing, with a focus on headlamps, tail lamps, DRLs, fog lamps, and small lamps. Key Skills: Technical Skills : Photometry and colorimetry testing, Knowledge of ARAI (AIS 012, AIS 057) and ECE (R148, R150) homologation standards and Experience with DVP testing for automotive lighting (preferred) Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with regulatory bodies and internal teams. Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with automotive lighting industry standards and part validation processes. Capabilities & Desired Characteristics: Testing Expertise : Strong knowledge of photometry and colorimetry testing processes and standards for automotive lighting. Collaboration : Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and regulatory teams.
