Job Description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at BMC, you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of complex applications using the latest technologies. Here's how you will contribute to BMC's success and your own: - Participate in all aspects of SaaS product development, from requirements analysis to product release and sustaining. - Drive the adoption of the DevOps process and tools across the organization. - Learn and implement cutting-edge technologies and tools to build best-in-class enterprise SaaS solutions. - Deliver high-quality enterprise SaaS offerings on schedule. - Develop Continuous Delivery Pipeline. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skillset and experience: - Embrace and embody BMC values daily. - Have 8-10 years of experience in a DevOps/SRE role. - Implemented CI/CD pipelines following best practices. - Experience with Kubernetes. - Knowledge in AWS/Azure Cloud implementation. - Worked with GIT repository and JIRA tools. - Passionate about quality, demonstrating creativity, and innovation in product enhancement. - Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. - Effective communication and teamwork skills. While not mandatory, the following skills are beneficial and can be developed with the help of our team: - SRE practices - Knowledge of GitHub, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Maven, JIRA, etc. - Automation Playbooks using Ansible. - Infrastructure-as-code (IaaC) with Terraform, Cloud Formation Template, ARM Template. - Scripting in Bash, Python, Go. - Proficiency in Microservices, Database, API implementation. - Familiarity with Monitoring Tools like Prometheus, Jager, Grafana, AppDynamic, DataDog, Nagios, etc. - Understanding of Agile/Scrum processes.
