Sr. Designer ( Manager Level )

Additional Responsibility

• The person will be responsible for leading and managing design activities in the sheet metal fabrication and structural design domain.
• This role demands strong technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and the ability to provide innovative, client-focused design solutions.
• The engineer will coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver customized and turnkey project designs that meet industry standards, timelines, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client & Project Coordination

• Attend client meetings, understand requirements, and provide customized design solutions.
• Actively participate in site visits across India with the sales and project teams for new inquiries and ongoing projects.
• Handle turnkey project design responsibilities, ensuring complete design solutions from concept to execution.
• Collaborate with contractors, project managers, sales teams, and clients for smooth execution of design deliverables.

2. Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and manage the design team with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Foster collaboration, allocate responsibilities, and ensure timely delivery of designs and drawings.
• Coordinate with external design consultants to ensure outsourced work is delivered as per requirement and on time.

3. Design Development & Technical Expertise

• Oversee the SolidWorks and AutoCAD to prepare detailed 2D/3D models, drawings, and BOMs for sheet metal and structural products.
• Create and analyse structural models for components such as platforms, cabins, and support structures.
• Perform load and stress calculations to ensure structural integrity and compliance with codes.
• Provide innovative, cost-effective, and technically sound solutions to complex design challenges.

4. Advanced Design & Analysis

• knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis and should be able to coordinate with external experts whenever advanced analysis is required.
• Review and validate consultant reports.

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and drawings to ensure clarity and alignment with client and project requirements.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Minimum

   8 years of experience

   in sheet metal fabrication and structural design.
2. Proficiency in

   SolidWorks and AutoCAD

   .
3. Proven experience in

   leading and managing design teams

   .
4. Strong technical expertise in design solutions, structural analysis, and fabrication processes.
5. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and client-facing).
6. Ability to manage

   turnkey project designs

   from inquiry to execution.
7. Familiarity with CFD analysis and coordination with consultants.
8. Knowledge of relevant

   industry standards, codes, and regulations
